Kawit can be reached by two routes from Cebu City!

1. Either along the east coast to Sogod and up the mountains to the town of Bogo, the largest town in the north, and then head towards St Remegio before taking the right turn at the traffic lights towards Medellin and Daan Bantayan.
2. Alternatively, go west on the Central Highway across the mountains from Cebu City to Balamban and then up the west coast past Tuburan and Tubuelan to St Remegio then head towards Bogo before branching left at the traffic lights to Medellin and Daan Bantayan.

From the turnoff to Daan Bantayan, Kawit, a Barangay of Medellin, can be reached by either of two routes.

1. On the main central road to Daan Bantayan take the left turn just after crossing the first bridge and proceed via the village of Lamintak, past the Queens Island Golf Course and the Bogo Sugar Mill and onto Medellin.
2. Alternatively, stay on the central road until you reach the next major left turn at Curva, passing by the Mercedes Golf Club. This takes you into Medellin across the sugar cane fields.

Once in Medellin town, take the road heading north to Kawit and Daan Bantayan by the coastal route. You are in Kawit when the road reaches a T-junction. Turn right and drive through the village, past the market, and look out for the signposted “Mahayahay Beach” on the left-hand side with a green gate and red walls. Drive down to the beach.
